Duck, goose and swan
Breeds, keeping, marketing
Whether for the extermination of slugs, as an accessory in the pond or for marketing the tasty meat, there are many reasons to keep water fowl!
However, the different breeds of ducks and geese, which are presented in detail, make very different demands on species-appropriate keeping, grazing, housing and water. Depending on the main purpose of use, the poultry farmer must decide on certain species. All the necessary information can be found in this book, from the selection of the animals to the keeping of the poultry, from feed mixture and enemy defence to the rearing of the chicks and the utilisation of eggs. Even a chapter is dedicated to keeping swans.
